US Ambassador to the Netherlands visits Maastricht University
With an informal event Maastricht University welcomed the Ambassador to the city of Maastricht and gave her a chance to meet our Deans, our American staff and some of our students.
After the official welcome by Prof. Dr. Jos Lemmink (Dean of School of Business and Economics) the Ambassador had an informal get-togheter with American students and staff. She and her husband were very warm and friendly and seemed to really enjoy meeting the students. All the Americans were asked to provide some “advice” to her as a newly arrived American in the Netherlands, and the visitors could tell she had read this ahead of time. She was also serenaded by the Tuna band.
