Trial opening of Law building - Alternative for university library

The Faculty of Law will be open for law students on Saturday, 27th March, the weekend before the exams for block period 4. “By way of a test”, the board informed Martijn De Kleermaeker, student council member for Ouranos in a letter. Last month, he submitted a request for an extension of the opening hours of the building on the Bouillonstraat. “The university library in the city centre is always packed immediately before exams.”

The board is considering the possibility of opening the faculty on a structural basis, as long as there is “sufficient interest”. Dean Aalt Willem Heringa also put forward the idea of allowing law students to use the School of Business and Economics, which is already open for its own students anyhow.
