Hmm.. Found something. This appears to be a parade for Sint Nicholas' visit to Maastricht. The website is in Dutch but not difficult to work out with Google Translate. http://www.sinterklaasinmaastricht.nl/

If you are interested in the whole story (not just Maastricht landing), you can visit this Wikipedia page (in Dutch):

Within a Google Translation frame this should be understandable.

And don't forget to watch the Sinterklaas news with Diewertje Blok every day on Dutch television.....

It starts on November 11; don't know the exact time; around 6.30 PM I think
